A snowboarder drives away from the ski stars

Ester Ledecka is a bird of paradise in the winter sports scene because she is active in two disciplines. On the one hand in snowboarding, on the other hand in alpine skiing. It wasn't until the end of January that she competed in two World Cup races on the snowboard in Bansko, Bulgaria, for the first time in ten months - and impressively won both parallel slaloms. Now she's also showing off on the ski slopes.

In the final training session at Crans Montana, Ledecka outpaced everyone and set the fastest time. This means that the Czech becomes one of the favorites for the two descents on Friday and Saturday (10.30:2018 a.m. each). Incidentally, Ledecka achieved the extremely rare feat of winning gold in two different disciplines at the Olympic Games in her career: in XNUMX, the all-rounder was crowned both super-G and parallel snowboard Olympic champion in Pyeongchang.

In training on Thursday, Lara Gut-Behrami confirmed her ambitions with second place. The Swiss wants to be in the fight for the overall World Cup this weekend, as her competitor Mikaela Shiffrin is still out. Ragnhild Mowinckel came third in training.

Federica Brignone became the best Azzurra in fifth place. Nadia Delago was the 23rd best South Tyrolean. In addition to the two downhill runs on Friday and Saturday, there is also a Super-G on the program in Crans Montana on Sunday at 10.30 a.m.
