Lucas Pinheiro Braathen made history in February when he won Olympic gold in the Bormio giant slalom, securing Brazil's first-ever Winter Games medal. This victory cemented the eccentric 25-year-old's status as a superstar in the skiing world. Isadora Cruz (28) was also particularly happy on that February 14th: the Brazilian has been Braathen's girlfriend since the summer of 2025.
He's the ski star, she's the famous actress and model: the two are considered a glamorous couple in Brazil. And: they want to spend even more time together in the future. In a joint interview, they revealed that he's going to completely change his plans for her. This means Braathen will be spending the entire summer in Brazil.

Cruz lives just ten minutes from the Brazilian Olympic training center, which is perfect for Braathen to complete his athletic training. "We were able to convince Lucas's coach to move his training to Brazil outside of the ski and snow season," Cruz says happily, adding: "So Lucas will be staying here with me from April to August."
Braathen is still fighting for crystal
This is good news for the newly enamored couple. But the season isn't over yet. There's still a lot at stake for Braathen. The Brazilian is fighting for the coveted crystal globes. In the slalom standings, the Olympic champion is in second place, just one point behind Atle Lie McGrath (Norway), while in the giant slalom standings, he trails Marco Odermatt (Switzerland) by 103 points. It promises to be a thrilling final stretch before Braathen's Brazilian summer begins.Edit Profile
