Lake Garda: Popular travel destination also for ski stars

The images amazed some fans and observers of the scene: just a few months ago, Norwegian ski racer Aleksander Aamodt Kilde was confined to a wheelchair after a devastating fall in January. During the descent in Wengen, the ski star sustained serious injuries to his shoulder and calf. There was even talk of an end to his career. Kilde had already ruled that out in April.

Now Kilde posted pictures and videos on Instagram that show him with some members of the Norwegian ski team on an active vacation on Lake Garda. Jogging, tennis and racing cycling were on the program. The 31-year-old wrote on Instagram: “Good to see that nothing has changed in the last few months! It's great to be back with this crew. I definitely missed that.”

Swiss ski team has to help Now the Swiss Loic Meillard also posted impressions of the Swiss ski team's stay in Riva del Garda. The program for the vice world champion plus team included windsurfing, tennis and mountain biking. However, the Swiss team helped with electric motors on the wheels. An unfair advantage if it had been a race between the two vacationing teams.
