A former skier has taken the plunge.

In a special location: A ski wedding with many celebrities.

Wedding bells have rung once again in the ski world – this time in a somewhat unusual location, but with prominent guests.

A ski wedding in Scotland? That sounds a bit unusual at first, and perhaps it is a little. And yet, that's exactly what happened last weekend. Charlie Guest, 49-time World Cup skier, Olympic and World Championship competitor for Great Britain, got married in her homeland. And numerous former rivals were there to celebrate with her.

Guest, who retired from skiing in March 2024, married her longtime boyfriend Callum Keates. The wedding took place in an idyllic setting: an estate in the Scottish Highlands. While Guest wore a classic white wedding dress, the groom sported tartan trousers and bagpipes – as befits a Scotsman. "All the love in the world," Charlie Guest wrote on Instagram.

The party at the secluded estate was wild. Among them were some of Guest's former competitors, including Norwegian Olympic silver medalist Thea Louise Stjernesund, Croatian Leona Popovic, and Canadian Ali Nullmeyer. They all celebrated the newlyweds.

Guest once made history in the skiing world by becoming the first British woman to win a European Cup race – the second-highest level of competition in the sport. In the 2022 World Cup, she finished 13th in Schladming, her best result to date as a slalom specialist. Today, Guest works as a TV commentator.
