It will likely be some time before Mikaela Shiffrin marries her boyfriend Aleksander Aamodt Kilde. The two ski superstars have been engaged for two years, but their demanding careers have put wedding plans on hold. However, that doesn't mean the greatest female skier of all time isn't excited about marriage – quite the opposite.

A few days ago, Shiffrin attended an emotional wedding. A childhood friend got married, as the American singer wrote on Instagram. What made the whole thing special was the country-style celebration. The ceremony took place on a ranch reminiscent of a Western film. Shiffrin also embraced the theme, arriving in a cowboy hat and boots.

The wedding was amazing!

“I spent the weekend celebrating the wedding of my very first boyfriend to the love of his life. 10/10 – I would definitely recommend it, it was absolutely AMAZING!” the skier enthused.

One user asked anxiously in the comments: "But where is the love of your life?" They were, of course, referring to Aleksander Aamodt Kilde. "He's currently at a training camp in Chile," Shiffrin replied. The American will also soon resume her preparations for the new season.
