Wedding and baby: Ski star is on cloud nine

Since February 21, 2021 at the latest, everyone in Austria's ski scene has known Adrian Pertl. Back then, the Carinthian raced to the runner-up title in the slalom world championship, completely unexpectedly. That was the biggest success so far in the career of the 26-year-old, who recently had a difficult season and never made it into the top 15. Next winter, the slalom star wants to really attack again - and is inspired by two private highlights.

Highlight number 1 is his wedding with his long-time girlfriend Anna. The two got married on June 20th - and in a special outfit. Pertl wore lederhosen, his Anna a white dirndl - and both look extremely happy. The ski family sent numerous congratulations to the newlywed couple.

Highlight number 2, however, will follow in a few months. The ski star and his wife are starting a family. "We are expecting a baby in the fall," Pertl told ORF. "So I'm looking forward to it, it's a very nice event for me too." So it's a special winter that Pertl has ahead of him. From the 2024/25 season onwards, he will be competing as a husband and probably also as a new father.
