In Garmisch: The downhill skiers in the waiting loop

The last World Cup race before the Ski World Championships is scheduled for Sunday. A men's downhill race is taking place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. However, there are initial difficulties.

Due to fog and soft slopes, the first downhill training for the men's alpine skiing team in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, which was planned for Friday, has been cancelled. The weather forecast for Saturday (training) and Sunday (race) is good, and it is also expected to get colder again.

"It will be interesting to see how the slope develops," said Austrian Daniel Hemetsberger. The downhill race on the Kandahar is the last World Cup race before the World Championships in Saalbach-Hinterglemm (February 4 to 16).
