In Garmisch: Last showdown before the Ski World Championships
One last World Cup stop is scheduled for the skiers before the World Championships in Saalbach-Hinterglemm. This weekend, the action will take place on the infamous Kandahar piste in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

7 athletes will tackle the downhill in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on Sunday (11.30 a.m.). Before that, on Friday and Saturday, there will be downhill training sessions. There will be no Super-G on the Kandahar this year.
Italy's head coach Max Carca has nominated Dominik Paris, Florian Schieder, Christof Innerhofer, Mattia Casse, Giovanni Franzoni, Benjamin Alliod and Nicolò Molteni for the World Cup stop in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
The first race at the Ski World Championships in Saalbach-Hinterglemm will take place on the following Tuesday. The first medals will be awarded in the parallel team competition.
