Kristoffersen turns his back on Van Deer

The equipment carousel is spinning in the alpine ski world cup: Several well-known athletes have changed their equipment supplier after the season or announced a change.

Henrik Kristoffersen is a particularly prominent example: The Norwegian, who most recently relied on Van Deer equipment, will now be using Head gear. This was announced by the new equipment supplier of the Salzburg-based athlete. The 31-year-old former world champion, with 34 World Cup victories and four slalom crystal globes, is one of the most successful active ski racers.

Paula Moltzan is also making a fresh start. The 32-year-old American is leaving Rossignol after 18 years – and at what is arguably the best stage of her career. Last season, she reached the World Cup podium five times, and her first victory seems only a matter of time. Moltzan's next destination is not yet officially known. In her farewell message, she thanked Rossignol for "a whole career full of memories and successes."

Franziska Gritsch is also embarking on a new path. The Austrian is switching to Atomic after two years with Blizzard. The 29-year-old, who is no longer part of the Austrian national team, hopes the change in equipment will bring her renewed energy.
