Austria is sending two new ski talents into the race

Austria's Ski Association (ÖSV) will field two teenagers in the Ski World Cup in Åre this weekend. It will be her debut on the big international stage.

On Saturday (10.30 a.m./13.30 p.m.) 20-year-old Viktoria Bürgler from Salzburg will be taking part in the giant slalom in Sweden, and on Sunday (10.30 a.m./13.30 p.m.) 17-year-old North Tyrolean Maja Waroschitz will be tackling the slalom.

Bürgler won silver in the Super G at the Junior World Championships in France in February. She is considered one of the hottest talents in Austria's talent factory.

Something similar applies to Maja Waroschitz from Schwaz. She triumphed in both the combined and slalom at the Youth Winter Olympics in South Korea in January. She had already made an international impact in 2022 with her victory at La Scara in Val-d'Isère.
