Austrian Festival in the Sarntal Valley

A women's European Cup Super-G took place in Sarntal on Monday. Nadine Fest triumphed once again.

The Austrian is considered a true Reinswald specialist and secured her fifth victory. Fest beat her teammate Emily Schöpf by 22 hundredths of a second. Candre Morena from Andorra finished third. A total of four Austrian women finished in the top six.

The best Italian woman was Carlotta De Leonardis in fourth place. Sara Allemand finished in eighth place. Her mother comes from the Ahrntal valley. Sara Thaler from Val Gardena finished ninth behind Allemand, making her the best South Tyrolean skier. Another women's European Cup Super-G race will take place in Val Sarntal on Tuesday.
