The 32-year-old also scored four times (an 18th place was the highest of feelings), but unlike Maurberger, he is a pure giant slalomist. In addition, the Ahrntaler can boast a better result with 13th place in the giant slalom in Val d'Isere. A second surprise is the nomination of Tobias Kastlunger. The 23-year-old only made it into the points once this season (10th in Val d'Isere), but he has recently shown signs of improving form and - like Maurberger - can be used variably. In addition to Kastlunger, there are four other South Tyroleans in the World Cup squad: Dominik Paris, Florian Schieder, Alex Vinatzer and Christof Innerhofer, who got the ticket at the last minute. Guglielmo Bosca, Mattia Casse, Luca De Aliprandini, Filippo Della Vite, Stefano Gross, Matteo Marsaglia and Tommaso Sala complete the men's line-up. Delago is the only South Tyrolean While South Tyrol is represented by five athletes among the men, Nicol Delago is the sole entertainer among the women. The Wolkensteiner will have her chance at the World Cup in the downhill. Her sister Nadia, the reigning bronze medalist at the Olympics, did not qualify. The team is led by the Vierzack, consisting of Sofia Goggia, Federica Brignone, Marta Bassino and Elena Curtoni. Lara Della Mea, Marta Rossetti, Anita Gulli, Laura Pirovano and Asja Zenere were also expected to be nominated. But not with that of Beatrice Sola. The 19-year-old has performed well in the European Cup, but has never scored any points in the World Cup.
