Perathoner finishes in 18th place in Saalbach

The Super-G in Saalbach on Thursday marked the last speed race of this winter for the European Cup skiers.

From a South Tyrolean perspective, Max Perathoner was also competing in Austria: The Val Gardena native finished in 18th place. The victory went to Austrian Manuel Traninger, who prevailed in 1:16,69 minutes, ahead of Swiss Lenz Haechler (+0,37) and Frenchman Adrien Fresquet (+0,47). Perathoner finished 1,29 seconds behind the winner, securing a place in the top 20 in the strong field.

For the European Cup athletes, this marks the end of the speed skiing season. However, the season isn't quite over yet: a slalom and a giant slalom are still scheduled in Schladming in the coming days.
