Pirovano in a frenzy of joy: "Never expected"

Laura Pirovano can now call herself the "Overall Downhill World Cup Winner" as of this Saturday. The 28-year-old from Trentino secured the small crystal globe at the World Cup Finals in Kvitfjell.

Pirovano is the fourth Italian skier to win a small crystal globe for the downhill World Cup. Sofia Goggia has achieved this four times, Isolde Kostner twice, and last year it was Federica Brignone who took home the small globe. "I still need to let it all sink in," said Pirovano.
