Prominent visit to Val di Fiemme

The final stage of the Tour de Ski took place on Sunday and there was a prominent visitor.

Many people were amazed when Lindsey Vonn suddenly appeared on Alpe Cermis. The American is currently training with her team on the surrounding San Pellegrino Pass and paid a visit to the cross-country skiers. Some of them even asked the ski superstar for an autograph.

On the last stage of the Tour de Ski Cross-country skiers race up a ski slope on Alpe Cermis in Val di Fiemme. Vonn was also there to cheer on her compatriot Jessie Diggins, who is one of the best in the scene. This year she finished sixth in the final rankings.

For Vonn herself, the next weekend will see her continue with the speed races in St. Anton. She made a remarkable comeback in the Super-G in St. Moritz, finishing 14th. The 40-year-old can be trusted to cause a sensation at the World Championships this year and at the Olympics next year.
