Seriously injured: Season over for rising star

At 27, Camille Cerutti may no longer be a rising star, but last year the Frenchwoman made her first real mark on the Ski World Cup circuit. Now she faces a major setback, as she will miss the 2026/27 season.

The bad news for the French ski team comes from Ushuaia. Camille Cerutti suffered a serious injury to her left knee during a training camp in Argentina. The devastating diagnosis: a torn cruciate ligament. This means the three-time French champion will miss the entire upcoming World Cup season.

Despite the serious injury, Cerutti is already back to her joking self. "At least things are even again now," the Frenchwoman remarked, referring to her first cruciate ligament tear four years ago – back then in her right knee. The 27-year-old already has her comeback in mind: "I know the road and I'll give everything to come back as quickly and strongly as possible."

Last season, the Frenchwoman reached the top of the world rankings for the first time. In Val d'Isère, she finished 5th in the Super-G. She also finished in the top 15 four other times – always in the Super-G.
