Shiffrin and Kilde trade skis for Formula 1

While the Ski World Cup is currently on hold, Mikaela Shiffrin and Aleksander Aamodt Kilde are enjoying Formula 1 flair in Miami instead of the stress of the slopes.

Mikaela Shiffrin has traded her skis for roaring engines for a few days. The American is attending the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix this weekend with her fiancé, Aleksander Aamodt Kilde. As recently as Wednesday, Shiffrin was training at Mammoth Mountain in California before heading to Florida.

Shiffrin and Kilde appeared in the paddock in Miami on Thursday. The Norwegian had traveled directly from Europe after a training block in Kvitfjell. Shiffrin gave a first glimpse of his visit to the Formula 1 entourage on Instagram – and appeared to be in good spirits.

Shiffrin also created a special moment with Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli. The young Italian met the skiing dominator in the paddock – and was promptly presented with her gold medal from the 2026 Cortina slalom. After the Miami weekend, Shiffrin returns to Colorado, where further training sessions await her in Copper Mountain.
