Skiing dream couple say "I do"

The Swiss woman and the Italian man said "I do" on Saturday at Lake Garda.

During the warmer months of the year, top-level competition often takes a backseat for the world's best winter athletes. Nevertheless, there are always exciting news stories from the alpine skiing world off the slopes – including this weekend: Two of the most famous ski racers have tied the knot. Michelle Gisin and Luca De Aliprandini have exchanged vows.

The Swiss skier, who suffered a serious injury during training in St. Moritz in December and is currently working on her comeback, and the Italian skier had already become engaged in the summer of 2024. Now the time had finally come: On Saturday, the two exchanged vows at Lake Garda. The skier from the Nonsberg region and the Swiss woman have owned an apartment there together for some time. Many big names in winter sports were present at the party, including Peter Fill.

The destination for their honeymoon is also already known: The newlyweds are traveling to London, where they plan to cheer on tennis star Jannik Sinner at Wimbledon.
