Ski World Champion reveals: The wedding is coming

In Adelboden this weekend there were not only brilliant sporting performances, but also a sweet moment of love.

The ski weekend in Adelboden – it was once again a great spectacle. There was Marco Odermatt, who celebrated his fourth giant slalom victory in a row at Chuenisbärgli. And there is Henrik Kristoffersen, who provided perhaps the sweetest moment of the weekend.

The experienced Norwegian showed his class in the Adelboden slalom on Saturday and came in third. At the winners' ceremony in the evening, Kristoffersen announced: He will be getting married in the summer! When the 3-year-old was asked whether he would like to do a victory dance - like Braathen - he replied clearly: "No!" With a grin, the two-time world champion added: "Maybe I'll dance at my wedding in the summer."

With that, Kristoffersen revealed his sweet secret. A year ago - in January 2024 - the superstar got engaged to his childhood sweetheart Tonje Barkenes. "The love of my life said yes," Kristoffersen wrote on Instagram at the time. The two are already parents of little Emil (he was born in 2023), but they kept quiet about their wedding plans - until now.
