Team Combined in Bormio: These are Italy's pairs

The men's team combined event continues on Monday at the Olympic Games in Bormio. A total of four athletes from South Tyrol are competing – including Dominik Paris.

dominik paris After winning bronze on Saturday, he will be hurtling down the Stelvio again two days later. Unlike at the World Championship premiere in Saalbach a year ago, the Ultner will not be forming a South Tyrolean duo with Alex Vinatzer in the team combined event, but rather with Tommaso Sala start.


The team combined event will make its Olympic debut on Monday. The downhill skiers will compete in the morning, followed by the slalom specialists in the afternoon. The times of both pairs will then be added together. Alex Vinatzer goes with silver medalist John Franzoni to the start and thus also forms a duo that can fight for the medals.

The only South Tyrolean duo is the Kastelruther Florian Schieder and the Enneberger Tobias KastlungerThey are considered underdogs in the fight for medals, just like the fourth pair from the Azzurri. Mattia Casse and Tommaso SaccardiThe competition starts on Monday with the downhill race at 10:30 a.m. The slalom specialists will then take to the slopes at 2:00 p.m.
