“Self-confidence boosted”: Slalom riders experience ray of hope
The good result in Val d'Isere can be a relief for Alex Vinatzer (10th) and Tobias Kastlunger (7th). The two South Tyroleans are now looking forward to Alta Badia with confidence.

Tobias Kastlunger and Val d'Isere – it just fits. In the French ski resort, the Enneberger achieved his first top 10 place in the World Cup. On Sunday, Kastlunger repeated this result in the slalom. He finished in 7th place, after making up a whopping 22 places in the final ( Click here for the race report).
"I was too nervous in the first run. In the second run I just wanted to take the chance and I succeeded. There are a lot of things I need to work on. But I'm still relatively young," said the 1-year-old.

Alex Vinatzer was not entirely confident in himself. The Val Gardena native achieved his first top 10 result this winter, but he did not describe his second run as a success either: "I wanted to attack, but it was not really smooth. Nevertheless, I gained confidence for Alta Badia." Vinatzer wants to rest his legs a little in the next few days because: "My shins hurt. But I think I will be able to ski normally again in a few days."Edit Profile
