After the Olympics, Brignone had said: "I'm taking it day by day now. First up is a check-up, which will show how many chances there are of me being able to compete in races this season. As Italy's Winter Sports Federation (FISI) announced eight days later, Brignone will lead Italy's team for the upcoming World Cup races in Soldeu, Andorra. This means that the medical tests were successful. What happens after that is still unclear. The speed week in the Pyrenees begins on Wednesday with the first training runs.
