Christof Innerhofer has already won in Wengen. In January 2013, the Gaiser was unbeatable. The 40-year-old also showed in the two downhill training sessions that he likes the Lauberhorn course. After finishing 9th in the first training session on Tuesday, Innerhofer was also among the top performers in the dress rehearsal on Wednesday, finishing 7th. The training session planned for Thursday was cancelled.

An American set the best training time on Wednesday. Ryan Cochran-Siegle was the fastest on the longest downhill course in the World Cup (here the athletes are on skis for around two and a half minutes). The Norwegian Adrian Smiseth Sejersted was 26 hundredths of a second behind, with Mattia Casse in third place, 0,49 seconds behind. The 34-year-old Azzurro thus underlined his strong form.

Paris has a good feeling

Dominik Paris finished the training in 18th place, almost two seconds behind. "The slope is very nice and in good condition. I feel pretty good, I still have to work on a few passages, but I hope that we will see two nice races. The weather should be good," said the Ultner, who is getting better and better at handling the Lauberhorn. In 2020 (2nd place), 2022 (3rd place) and 2024 (3rd place), "Domme" raced onto the podium. Florian Schieder finished the final training in 32nd place.

On Friday, the Super-G is scheduled to take place in Wengen from 12.30:1 p.m., and the following day, at the same time, the big downhill classic will take place.
