Two Italian podium finishes in the European Cup

Two races took place in the Ski European Cup on Friday – with Italy securing a podium finish in each.

Gregorio Bernardi celebrated his first European Cup podium finish in the downhill race in Oppdal, Norway. The 22-year-old from Sestriere finished second behind Frenchman Ken Caillot. Max Perathoner from Val Gardena had to settle for 19th place.

At the European Cup slalom in Sundsvall, Sweden, local favorite and top contender Anna Swenn Larsson took the victory. Emilia Modinelli, a 21-year-old Italian, finished second. In total, four Italian skiers placed in the top ten.
