Insam qualified for the top 50 on Saturday, finishing 46th. These top 50 will compete in the third of four jumps in this tour on Sunday at Bergisel. Giovanni Bresadola from Trentino (33rd) also qualified.
The 18-year-old Maximilian Gartner From Überwasser, one of the three Val Gardena districts in Kastelruth, he finished 60th in his debut race and will have to watch from the sidelines on Sunday. He'll have another chance on Monday at the qualifying race in Bischofshofen.
Austrians in the lead, Prevc not.
Overall leader Domen Prevc showed his first weakness, jumping only 112 meters in a strong tailwind and thus finishing no higher than 30th. Previously, the Slovenian had won every qualifying round and every competition in this tournament. However, the points from the qualifying round do not count towards the overall standings. Jan Hörl won the qualifying round, leading an Austrian sweep of the podium.
