Alex Insam qualified in Sapporo

A success for Val Gardena ski jumper Alex Insam. The South Tyrolean has qualified for the main competition in Sapporo (JPN).

With 96,4 points, Alex Insam qualified on Friday for the competition in Sapporo, Japan (HS 137). The Val Gardena native finished 43rd with a jump of 116 meters and will therefore compete in the main event for the top 50 jumpers. Giovanni Bresadola (24th) was another Italian to qualify.


The best qualifier on Friday in Sapporo was Japanese local favorite Ryoyu Kobayashi with 140,8 points (139 meters). Domen Prevc (138,9 points) and Stephan Embacher (130 points) finished behind him. The competition on Saturday starts at 7:15 a.m. CET. There will be another jump on Sunday.
