Alex Insam is in the top 20 again

South Tyrol's model ski jumper has added another chapter to his successful World Cup season. He drew attention to himself on Saturday while ski flying in Oberstdorf.

With an impressive jump of 214 meters, Alex Insam gained five places in the second round of the World Cup ski flying in Allgäu and catapulted himself to 20th place. With his first jump he reached a distance of 202,5 meters, giving a total score of 393,7 points. This is already the sixth top 20 placement in the 26-year-old from Val Gardena's most consistent World Cup season to date.

The Slovenian Timi Zajc secured victory ahead of his compatriot Peter Prevc, who is ending his successful career at the end of the season. The Austrian Stefan Kraft, who leads the overall ski jumping rankings, came third.

Zajc celebrated his fourth World Cup victory, like everyone else before, on a ski flying hill and his third on the Heini-Klopfer ski jump in Oberstdorf. Another individual competition is scheduled there on Sunday.
