Gold for the Prevc family: Italy's quartet disappoints

In the mixed team ski jumping competition on the normal hill, the Prevc family from Slovenia can celebrate winning gold. Italy's quartet, however, did not make it to the second round.

Alex Insam, Giovanni Bresadola, Annika Sieff and Martina Zanitzer represented Italy's ski jumpers in the mixed team competition from the normal hill (HS 107).

But after just one round, the Olympic adventure in Predazzo was over. The Azzurri only managed tenth place (out of twelve teams) and were not allowed to compete in the second round for the top eight teams.

Slovenia, featuring the Prevc siblings Nika and Domen, took the victory. Nika Vodan and Anze Lanisek were also part of the team. This is Nika Prevc's second medal, following her silver in the individual normal hill competition. Norway (with Olympic champion Anna Ström) and Japan won silver and bronze, respectively.
