Women fly for the first time in Planica – No Four Hills Tournament

The International Ski Federation (FIS) has published the draft calendar for the 2025/26 Ski Jumping World Cup season. The Malsiner sisters will still have to wait for the Four Hills Tournament.

The biggest change is that women will be able to compete from the ski flying hill in Planica for the first time. Previously, women's ski flying World Cup competitions had only been held in Vikersund. The season begins for both men and women, as in the previous year, from November 21 to 23 in Lillehammer, and Planica will host the joint season finale for both genders at the end of March.

Austria will host the men's ski jumping tournament on January 4 in Innsbruck and January 6 in Bischofshofen. Ski flying competitions are also scheduled for February 28/March 1, 2026, at Kulm.

No Four Hills Tournament for Malsiner & Co.

The Men's Ski Flying World Championships will take place in Oberstdorf from January 22 to 25. The highlight of the calendar, of course, is the Winter Olympics, with the competitions taking place in Predazzo from February 7 to 16.

However, the wait for the first Four Hills Tournament for women continues. As the draft calendar indicates, there will be no tournament for women next winter. The so-called Two-Nights Tour competitions in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (December 31) and Oberstdorf (January 1, 2026) will again be part of the World Cup calendar. After that, however, the men will not travel to Innsbruck and Bischofshofen, but to Villach for two competitions on January 3 and 4.
