By a hair's breadth over Prevc: Tschofenig wins in Lahti

Daniel Tschofenig celebrated his third victory of the season in the Ski Jumping World Cup, one day after finishing second in Lahti.

The Carinthian skier won by a razor-thin margin of 0,6 points on Saturday ahead of the newly crowned overall World Cup champion, Domen Prevc of Slovenia. Japan's Ryoyu Kobayashi, who led after the first round, finished third, 3,2 points behind. Jan Hörl was the second-best Austrian, finishing sixth. A Super Team competition will take place on Sunday.

On Friday, Tschofenig narrowly missed out on victory, finishing behind Germany's Philipp Raimund. In the second competition, however, the 24-year-old climbed from third place to his eleventh World Cup win. His last victory was two months ago at the Four Hills Tournament final in Bischofshofen, and he secured his first win of the winter at the season opener.
