Austria's ski jumpers dominate

Austria’s ski jumping men were once again in a class of their own on Sunday in Lillehammer.

Once again, only the German Saturday winner Pius Paschke prevented an ÖSV triple victory, but this time the day's victory went to Jan Hörl. The 26-year-old from Salzburg won with distances of 137 and 139,5 meters, 7,5 points ahead of Paschke and the Carinthian Daniel Tschofenig, who again came third (+11,5).

Half-time leader Stefan Kraft once again had to settle for fourth place. Alex Insam from Val Gardena missed the first round, finishing 53rd in the qualification.

The Germans win in the women’s competition

The German ski jumpers crowned their outstanding start to the season with a double victory in the second individual competition in Lillehammer. Katharina Schmid triumphed on the large hill in Norway ahead of her teammate Selina Freitag. Third place went to Austrian Lisa Eder. Lara Malsiner from Val Gardena finished in the points in 26th place.
