Stroem was able to celebrate after her victory in the normal hill ski jumping event, also winning the Olympic premiere on the large hill, beating her compatriot Eirin Maria Kvandal and the Slovenian co-favorite Nika Prevc on Sunday evening.
After the first jump, Kvandal was still in the lead, but with a jump of 132 meters in the decisive second jump, Stroem catapulted himself into first place. Prevc had been stuck in fifth place after the first round but still managed to make it onto the podium.

Annika Sieff, the local favorite from Val di Fiemme, was the best Italian finisher in 13th place, followed by Martina Zanitzer in 25th. Jessica Malsiner, however, did not make it to the final round. The 23-year-old from Ortisei landed in 32nd place with a jump of 113 meters, narrowly missing the decisive jump for the top 30.
Due to the disqualification of American Annika Belshaw (29th after the first round) in the final, Malsiner was ultimately ranked 31st. The Val Gardena native had already failed to qualify for the final round in the normal hill competition. This marks the end of the 2026 Olympic Games for the women's ski jumping team.
