Jasmin Coratti has to end her season early.

Now of all times: Jasmin Coratti is out for a long time

The snowboarding season ended early for Jasmin Coratti. This was revealed by further investigations in Bolzano after returning from the World Cup stage in Krynica in Poland.

Coratti, who had her best World Cup winter to date with two podium finishes, injured her arm during the race in Eastern Europe. Immediately after her fall in the round of 16 on Saturday, her dislocated right elbow was repaired under general anesthesia in the Krynica hospital and she was given a plaster cast.

“It also hit the capsule and a tendon tore,” explained Jasmin Coratti after an examination by FISI team doctor Gabriele Thiebát, “but no operation is necessary. The elbow just needs a few weeks of absolute rest before I can start rehab. I’ll probably do it with Christian Saurer in Mals.”

At best, Jasmin Coratti wants to return to snow for material testing in mid-April. But it's not fixed yet.

Brother Edwin Coratti also fell badly in Krynica, but his shoulder injury had no serious consequences.
