Bagozza overjoyed: “This is how it should always be”

On Sunday, Daniele Bagozza celebrated his 7th World Cup victory in Yanqing. What was special about it was that he met teammate Gabriel Messner in the final.

"I'm a bit tired. Two weeks of rice and salmon are enough," said a cheerful Daniele Bagozza on Sunday. Shortly before, the Val Gardena native had celebrated his 2th victory in the Snowboard World Cup in Yanqing (CHN). In the next few hours, Bagozza & Co. will return to Europe, where the home World Cups in Carezza and Cortina are scheduled.

"During the races, all I thought about was having fun. The track conditions were outstanding, that's how it should always be," said Bagozza, explaining his triumph in China.

Gabriel Messner, who had already finished third on the podium in Mylin a week ago, also did well. "I'm happy that I made it onto the podium again. I dedicate the victory to everyone who helped me in the difficult last few months," said the man from Villnöß.
