Omar Visintin achieved his first top-ten finish this winter at the Olympic dress rehearsal in Dongbeiya, China.

The 36-year-old from Algund finished tenth in Sunday's snowboard cross. Visintin was eliminated in the quarterfinals. This was his best individual World Cup result in a very long time. Lorenzo Sommariva was the best Italian, finishing fourth. Filippo Ferrari came in sixth.

Olympic champion Alessandro Hämmerle has returned to the podium just in time for the season's highlight. The 32-year-old from Vorarlberg finished second in the final Snowboard Cross World Cup race before the Olympic Games. Hämmerle was only beaten by Australian Adam Lambert on Sunday in Dongbeiya, China.
