Double victory! Roland Fischlerler wins ahead of Aaron March

As was the case at the start of the season in Landgraaf, Roland Fiwickeler and Aaron March were in a class of their own. The two exceptional local snowboarders kept the Austrian local hero and World Cup leader Benjamin Karl in check. For “Fisch” this is the fifth World Cup victory in his career and the 16th podium finish after third place on Friday at Jauerling.

The “Azzurri” started qualifying for the big show and finally continued their winning streak in the knockout round in the afternoon. Aaron March caused a big surprise in the semifinals against Benjamin Karl and secured the final ticket against Roland Filehner. He made no mistakes in the decision and gave up his teammate, who chose a wider line. The two other South Tyroleans Meinhard Erlacher and Christoph Mick took places 27 and 31.

In the women's category, victory went to Swiss Patrizia Kummer. Second place also went to Switzerland with Julie Zogg, while Marion Kreiner from Austria took third place. Corinna Boccacini came in 19th as the best “Azzurra”. Nady Ochner finished the race in 24th place, her teammate Andrea Tribus was 27th.
