Dusek celebrates – Grondin gets the ball

The snowboard crossers are currently in Mont-Sainte-Anne in Canada, where the last World Cup stop of this winter is taking place.

Austrian Jakob Dusek took the win in the first of two races, moving him up to second place in the overall standings. However, Dusek can't do much better, as local hero Eliot Grondin, who finished second on Saturday, is no longer able to dislodge the overall lead with his points haul in tomorrow's race. American Nathan Pare finished third. Omar Visintin is not competing in Canada.

In the women's race, Frenchwoman Lea Casta triumphed ahead of Australian Mia Clift and Swiss rider Sina Siegenthaler. As in the men's race, the overall winner in the women's race, in this case Casta, has already been decided before the final race of the season.
