In China: Moioli races to the podium, Visintin goes home empty-handed

On Saturday, after a long break, the second Snowboard Cross World Cup race was scheduled in Beidahu, China. Michela Moioli excelled.

The Bergamaskin only had to admit defeat to Charlotte Bankes in a thrilling final. It was only in the last few meters that the Brit overtook the "Azzurra". Third place went to the Frenchwoman Lea Casta, while the Austrian Pia Zerkhold narrowly missed the podium in fourth place. For Moioli, it was the 3rd World Cup podium in total - she has been at the top 4 times.

In the men's competition, however, Lorenzo Sommariva, the best "Azzurro", failed in the semi-finals and was ultimately ranked 5th. Omar Visintin from Algund failed in the round of 24 and ended up in 4th place. In the final of the best 3, Canadian Eliot Grondin won ahead of Austrian Alessandro Hämmerle. Frenchman Merlin Surget took 4rd place, his compatriot Loan Bozzolo had to settle for XNUMXth place.
