Not all South Tyroleans are happy in Carezza

A snowboard World Cup will take place in Carezza on Thursday. A parallel giant slalom is on the programme. The qualification has already been beaten – and not all South Tyroleans can celebrate at the home World Cup.

6 of the 16 participants in the round of 4 come from Italy. This is good news for all South Tyrolean snowboard fans who are following the home World Cup in Carezza. XNUMX of them are South Tyroleans: Edwin Coratti, Daniele Bagozza, Aaron March and Roland Fischnaller.

Coratti was the fastest South Tyrolean in the qualification on Thursday morning. Although he was almost a second slower than qualifying winner Benjamin Karl (AUT), Coratti was the best on the blue course. Overall, the veteran from Langtaufers finished 6th. Daniele Bagozza (8th) came in just behind, followed by Aaron March (10th) and Roland Fischnaller (13th). Maurizio Bormolini (4th) and Mirko Felicetti (9th) also made it into the top 16.

Messner and Lantschner outside

Fabian Lantschner (27th) and Gabriel Messner (28th), on the other hand, did not make it through the qualification. This will be a bitter disappointment, especially for the latter, as he was recently on the podium twice in China – albeit in the parallel slalom.

Miki Fastest Woman

In the women's race, Jasmin Coratti made it into the final with ease. The woman from Upper Vinschgau even impressed with the fastest time on the blue course. Overall, Coratti finished 3rd in the qualification, just behind her teammate Elisa Caffont (2nd). The fastest qualifier was Tsubaki Miki from Japan.

The other Azzurre, Lucia Dalmasso (24th) and Elisa Fava (25th), did not qualify for the round of XNUMX.

The women's round of 12.30 in Carezza begins at 12.45:XNUMX p.m. The men's match begins a quarter of an hour later (XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.).
