Back on the podium: Jasmin Coratti is unstoppable

This parallel snowboarder has really got a taste for it: Jasmin Coratti from Langtaufers celebrated her second podium finish in just a few days on Tuesday.

Just three days ago, Jasmin Coratti caused a real sensation. The 22-year-old landed in the parallel giant slalom in Scuol (Switzerland). for the first time in her career on a World Cup podium by finishing second. Now the woman from Val Venosta has proven that this result was not a flash in the pan. Just three days after her Scuol coup, Coratti celebrated her next podium place with third place in the parallel slalom in Bad Gastein (Austria).

In the qualification, the younger sister of top snowboarder Edwin Coratti was still in 12th place, in the knockout heats the young lady from Langtaufers showed off her full strength. She first eliminated her teammate Lucia Dalmasso and then the Japanese Tsubaki Miki before finishing in the semifinals against eventual winner Ramona Theresia Hofmeister. Coratti went to the small finale - and there, Julie Zogg, a true snowboard luminary, who has already achieved 32 podium places in her career, was waiting. However, Coratti was not impressed by the Swiss woman, who was nine years older than her, and confidently secured third place.

Bormolini triumphs in the men's category

For Italy's snowboarders, Tuesday was a day of joy, and not just because of Coratti's amazing performance. The men's victory went to an Azzurro. Maurizio Bormolini celebrated his third World Cup triumph by losing out to Austria's Arvid Auner in the grand final. Bormolini thus prevented the total Austrian triumph: third and fourth place went to Fabian Obmann and Benjamin Karl, also two Austrians. The best South Tyrolean was Edwin Coratti, who came in 5th place. Daniele Bagozza was one position behind. Aaron March (13th) and Roland Fiwickeler (disqualified) did not make it to the top places.
