South Tyrol's winter sports stars of tomorrow are ready to go

“A total of 230 races will be held this season – including World Cups, European Cups, etc. This is an astonishing number that shows that South Tyrol is a winter sports country. I would also like to thank the participating clubs for their excellent cooperation. After all, the effort required for such an event is not without its consequences.” With these words, Markus Ortler, President of FISI South Tyrol, opened the press conference on Friday in the Haus des Sports. The classics for young skiers, such as the VSS district championships in the U8 to U12 categories, which saw a record participation of 1069 children last season, are also back in the calendar. In addition, there are numerous racing series with the support of sponsors VSS, Raiffeisen, Alperia, Athesia, Marlene and Autoindustriale. “Here, too, I would like to thank our partners who are helping us financially with the event,” said Ortler happily.
