Curling World Championships: No medal for Azzurri

Stefania Constantini and Amos Mosaner's Mixed Doubles World Championships in Geneva ended without a medal. The Italian curling duo suffered a clear 3-11 defeat against Canada in the bronze medal match, finishing in fourth place. Bronze went to Kadriana and Colton Lott.

The game was practically decided early on. Canada got off to a dream start and was already leading 7-1 after three ends. Constantini and Mosaner, who had narrowly lost to Australia in an extra end in Friday night's semifinal, never really found their rhythm against the Canadians. Although the Italians tried to mount a comeback after the fifth end, Canada sealed the victory with four more points in the sixth.

This marks a bitter end to a strong World Championship for the reigning world champions. After gold at the 2022 Olympics, World Championship gold in 2025, and Olympic bronze in 2026, Constantini/Mosaner were denied a place on the podium this time.
