The 7th Horn Attack in South Tyrol has once again proven why it is one of the highlights of the regional sports calendar. Participants covered approximately 20 kilometers and 2.000 meters of elevation gain from Bolzano to the snow-covered summit of the Rittner Horn, combining trail running and ski mountaineering into a challenging competition.
The starting gun fired promptly at 9 a.m. The athletes completed the first leg of 13,4 kilometers to the transition zone in Pemmern on foot, then switched to touring skis to cover the final 6,5 kilometers.
In the men's race, a thrilling duel unfolded between Andreas Reiterer and Andreas Innerebner, ultimately decided in Reiterer's favor only on the final climb. This marked the South Tyrolean's fourth victory. In the women's race, Annelise Felderer left no doubt from the start, securing her sixth triumph and once again claiming the title of "Queen of the Horn Attack."

The special categories also offered exciting moments: Patrick Gross and Kristel Mottin triumphed in the "mountaineers" category, where participants had to carry their own equipment over the entire course. In the relay races, Samuel Demetz and Matthäus Berger emerged victorious in the men's category, while the Thaler-Dapunt (women's) and Metallformer-Performance (mixed) teams took first place.
Organizing committee head Günther Plattner was delighted: “It was a fantastic day. We are all very satisfied.” The event once again underlined its importance for the regional sports scene and is already generating anticipation for the next edition.
