Italy's curling team confirms its membership among the absolute world elite, dominating the bronze medal match against Great Britain (5:3) and thus securing its eleventh medal overall at the home Olympics 2026.

The duo Stefania Constantini and Amos Mosaner dominated the bronze medal match: With a team success rate of 90%, the Italians constantly put the Scottish champions Jennifer Dodds and Bruce Mouat, who were competing under the British flag at these games, under pressure. Four years ago, Constantini and Mosaner even won gold in Beijing.

Italy's bronze medal is particularly noteworthy because Mosaner emphasized in an interview three days ago that he and Constantini are not friends in everyday life, but consciously maintain a professional relationship – and that he believes this clear line helps them stay focused on the ice. The 30-year-old from Trento said, among other things: "There is no friendship between Stefania and me, and that's better."

Mosaner explained that they had rarely played together in recent years and that this was precisely why their teamwork was working again, as their personal lives didn't blur together. At the same time, he praised Constantini as one of the strongest players in the world and emphasized the mutual trust they had during matches. Incidentally, Mosaner is currently in a relationship with Alice Cobelli, another curler from Italy.
