Whether Nordic combined, snowboarding, tobogganing, cross-country skiing or biathlon – the young winter sports athletes knew how to impress with their strong performances across the country.

Nordic Combined: Senoner cannot be beaten in France
Nordic combined athlete Manuel Senoner attracted attention with a brilliant performance on Saturday. At the Alpine Cup in Chaux-Neuve in France, the 18-year-old from Selva won the Gundersen competition on the large hill. After jumping in second place, Senoner soon took the lead on cross-country skis and ultimately won with a lead of 25,3 seconds over Finn Kempf from Switzerland.Cross-country skiing: Bettini becomes U18 Italian champion in the sprint
South Tyrol's young cross-country skiers won several medals at the Italian Championships in Tesero (Fleimstal). In the U18 age group, national squad athlete Carlo Bettini (Sesvenna) won the gold medal in the sprint (classic technique), while Elias Oberhöller (ASC Sarntal) came in third. In the U20 category, former national squad athletes Marit Folie (Army Sports Group) won the "Scudetto", while Romina Bachmann (Carabinieri Sports Group) was delighted to take bronze. In the individual race over 10 km in free technique, Marta Bellotti won silver in the U18 ahead of Emma Schwitzer (both Carabinieri Sports Group), while in the U20 Folie won silver and Bachmann again won bronze.Snowboarders narrowly miss the podium
Folgaria was the venue for two European Cup races for snowboarders at the weekend. National squad athlete Simon Dorfmann (ASV Villnöß) finished sixth once and narrowly missed the podium in fourth place. Anna Mammone (ASV Welschnofen) finished 14th once. In an FIS race on the Pra-Di-Tori piste in Welschnofen, Dorfmann finished fourth again, while Mammone came in sixth.The young biathletes strike in Ridnaun
The young local ski hunters won five medals at the Italian Championships in Ridnaun. Julian Huber (Carabinieri sports group/age group U17) and Eva Hutter (finance guard sports group/U19) were crowned national champions in the Short Individual. Felix Ratschiller (U22) and Andreas Braunhofer (U17/both Carabinieri) won the silver medal. National squad athlete Anna Anvidalfarei (SC Gröden) won the bronze medal in the U17 category.Lugers still in top form
At the Junior World Cup (natural track) on the Grantau track in Umhausen (Ötztal), South Tyrol's young athletes once again showed off their talent. Lotte Mulser, Jenny Castiglioni and Tina Stuffer took the three medal places, while national squad athlete Nina Castiglioni narrowly missed the podium in fourth place. Alex Oberhofer won the young men's event, while Anton Genetti Gruber finished in third place. The best luger in the national squad was Michael Tinzl in sixth place.Last weekend, the racing and sport tobogganers were also in action. On Sunday, the second youth race took place on the "Ranuier Rungg" toboggan run in Villnöß, which also counts towards the Alperia Cup ranking. 75 children and young people took part. The team ranking for the racing tobogganers went to ASV Laas, while the ASV Villnöß achieved the best team performance for the sport tobogganers. The day before, the second South Tyrol Cup for sport luge took place in Ulten. A little over 60 participants took part on the Moscha slope. The victory in the team competition went to Laugen Tisens.
