Top results for South Tyrolean athletes across all winter sports disciplines
Last week was eventful and successful not only for the alpine skiers, but also for other South Tyrolean winter sports athletes. From biathlon to freestyle, South Tyrolean talents once again achieved some impressive results. Here's the usual overview.

In biathlon, both the South Tyrolean state team athletes and the very young up-and-coming talents were in action. The fourth stage of the Fiocchi Italian Cup was held in Martell, having been moved from Zoldo to the Vinschgau side valley due to a lack of snow. In the short individual competition on Saturday, Thea Wanker finished second in the U19 category, Verena Pallua took the victory in the U17 category, and in the U19 men's category, Jonas Tscholl, Andreas Braunhofer, and Julian Huber achieved a South Tyrolean sweep of the podium. The following day, a sprint was held in Martell, in which the Pallua sisters, Katia and Verena, finished second and third respectively in the U17 category. In the U19 men's category, there was another South Tyrolean hat trick, this time with Rafael Santer winning ahead of Julian Huber and Andreas Braunhofer.
While the Italian Cup was making a stop in Martell, the third stage of the Hubert Leitgeb Raiffeisen Trophy took place in Ridnaun.
Under top conditions and with over 130 participants on Saturday, the following daily winners emerged:
U9: Alma Rainer (Antholz) and David Oberhauser (Gröden)
U11: Anna Lena Staffler (Ulten) and Aaron Gufler (Passeier)
U13: Franzi Wolf (Antholz) and Jan Spechtenhauser (Martell)
U15: Kathrin Santer (Ulten) and Leon Josef De Giuseppe (Martell)
Emma Schwitzer shines in Falcade, new Italian champions in luge in Villnöß
Last weekend, Falcade hosted a stage of the Italian Cup, which also counts towards the Italian Championship standings. Emma Schwitzer from Sarnen took center stage, winning both the U18 sprint race on Saturday and the classic distance race on Sunday in her age group.The cross-country skiers competed this past weekend in a stage of the Raiffeisen Cross-Country Skiing Cup, which also served as the 2026 Skiri Trophy and took place on the Lavazè Pass in Trentino. Only the results from South Tyrol counted towards the Raiffeisen Cross-Country Skiing Cup standings.

U10: Rosa Hell (Toblach) and Leo Weissensteiner (Deutschnofen)
U12: Elena Kostner (Gröden) and Damian Gruber (Sarntal)
U14: Anna Profanter (Seiser Alm) and Matias Piazza (Gröden)
U16: Anne Kuppelwieser (Prad) and Paolo Pietroboni (Sesvenna)
The Italian championships were held last weekend in Villnöß. Around 70 athletes competed in the luge event on the Ranuier slope. Despite challenging weather conditions, the organizers from ASV Villnöß ensured fair competition. Patrick Lambacher and Simon Schwienbacher emerged victorious in the doubles event. Lambacher also won the men's singles, while Iris Runggatscher triumphed in the women's competition.

The European Cup is being held on the Seiser Alm.
Last week, Nicole Bazzanella also competed for the South Tyrolean state team in the European Cup Premium freestyle snowboarding event on the Seiser Alm. The athlete from Völs finished in 21st place on her home slope. Over the weekend, the European Cup Premium slopestyle freeskiing event took place, where Rene Monteleone finished seventh, Max Von Aufschnaiter tenth, Valentin Auer eleventh, and Elia Baez Locher fifteenth. Heidi Pescollderungg even took the victory in the women's competition.The snowboarders were out in Val Gardena
The Alperia Snowboard Cup has kicked off. Last weekend, the first stage took place in Val Gardena, which also counted towards the Italian Cup standings. Two parallel slalom races were held each day. On Saturday, Kevin Crazzolara from the South Tyrol regional team took the victory in the men's open category, beating his teammate Tobias Mutschlechner in the final. In the women's open category, Lucy Call, also from the regional team, achieved the best Italian result by winning the small final. On Sunday, Tobias Mutschlechner was the top South Tyrolean in the men's open category, losing the final to Austrian Niklas Graf. Crazzolara finished fourth overall. In the women's open category, regional team athletes Emma Dorfmann and Lucy Call faced off in the small final, which Dorfmann won.The following South Tyrolean winners were crowned in the youth categories on Saturday:
