BIG AIR: Flora Tabanelli (170,2 points) continues to cause a stir in the Freestyle World Cup. In Klagenfurt, the 17-year-old once again conjured her way onto the podium, narrowly losing out to the first-time winner of China, Mengting Liu (170,6). Third place went to Muriel Mohr from Germany (166,2).
In the men's competition, Renè Monteleone from Val Gardena failed to qualify for the final in Klagenfurt, as did Miro Tabanelli. In the final, Luca Harrington showed the best tricks. The New Zealander won with 182,6 points, ahead of Timothe Sivignon from France (180,4) and the Austrian Matej Svancer (175,4).

BOB: Lisa Buckwitz from Germany has achieved her second victory in the third World Cup race in the monobob. At the home World Cup in Winterberg, she relegated the strong Swiss Melanie Hasler to second place with two best start times and a track record of 58,25 seconds. The Australian Breeana Walker came in third.
The German bobsleigh nation also dominated the two-man bobsleigh. Francesco Friedrich led a triple victory in Winterberg together with his pusher Alexander Müller. Second place went to Adam Ammour/Benedikt Hertel (+0,21), while Johannes Lochner/Alexander Schüller (+0,62) took third place. South Tyrolean Patrick Baumgartner and his pusher Robert Mircea landed in a solid seventh place (+3).

ARTISTIC TRACK TOBOGGANING: The World Cup races for artificial track luge are taking place this weekend in Sigulda, Latvia. In the doubles, the German duo Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt triumphed on Saturday ahead of the Latvian local heroes Martins Bots and Roberts Plume (+0,101 seconds). Third place went to Yannick Müller and Armin Frauscher from Austria. The South Tyrolean duos Emanuel Rieder/Simon Kainzwaldner (11th place, +1,675 seconds) and Ivan Nagler/Fabian Malleier (17th place, +5,075 seconds) finished outside the top 10.
The South Tyrolean ladies did better, but Andrea Vötter and Marion Oberhofer also failed to make it onto the podium in Latvia. The duo had to settle for fourth place, 0,453 seconds behind the winners Selina Egle and Michaela Lara Kipp from Austria. The US duo Chevonne Forgan and Sophie Kirkby secured second place ahead of the Latvians Marta Robezniece and Kitija Bogdanov. Nadia Falkensteiner and Annalena Huber came in 8th (+3,194).
In the women's singles, Latvian Elina Leva Bota triumphed ahead of Merle Fräbel from Germany (+0,063) and Lisa Schulte from Austria (+0,065). The best South Tyrolean was Verena Hofer in 12th place (+0,493).
