Winter sports ticker | Double-seater ladies on the podium

SKI JUMPING: The Norwegian Halvor Egner Granerud won the competition in Lake Placid (USA) on Sunday afternoon with 287,6 points. He was followed by Andreas Wellinger from Germany (-11,5 points), followed by the Austrian Stefan Kraft (-13,3 points). The only Italian who took part in the jumping, Giovanni Bresadola, finished in 42nd place (-191,3 points). Granerud thus extended his lead in the overall World Cup and is now 293 points ahead of Poland's Dawid Kubacki, who finished fifth today (-11,6 points). BOB: Patrick Baumgartner took sixth place in the four-man bobsleigh World Cup in Innsbruck, which he shared with the Swiss Michael Vogt at the same time. The victory went to the German Francesco Friedrich, who was able to narrowly keep his worst opponent Brad Hall from Great Britain at bay. Johannes Lochner, the second German bobsleigh, came third. The young two-seater Nadia Falkensteiner and Annalena Huber made it onto the podium in third place. Emanuel Rieder and Simon Kainzwaldner narrowly missed the podium in fourth place in the men's sprint. The victory went to Germany with Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt. ARTISTIC TRACK TOBOGGANING: In the men's sprint, vice world champion Max Langenhan celebrated his third victory in a row. The three-time Olympic champion Felix Loch came third behind the Austrian world champion Jonas Müller. Dominik Filehner finished sixth and was therefore not the best South Tyrolean, because Leon Felderer confirmed his emerging form at the end of the season with 5th place. Luke Gufler turned 14 NORDIC COMBINATION: Johannes Lamparter celebrated his sixth World Cup victory of the season in Schonach. After jumping, the 21-year-old started the 10 km cross-country run with his compatriot Mario Seidl in the lead, left the Salzburg man standing on the fourth kilometer and fended off the attack of Jens Luraas Oftebro, who had run up to him, in the finish sprint. The Frenchman Laurent Muhlethaler came third. Lamparter thus extended his lead over Oftebro in the overall World Cup to 121 points. Samuel Costa ranked 21st, Aaron Kostner turned 33 NORDIC COMBINATION: The Norwegian Gyda Westvold Hansen also won the ninth World Cup season competition for Nordic combined women in Schonach. After winning the jump, the 20-year-old crossed the finish line 30,6 seconds ahead of compatriot Ida Marie Hagen. Nathalie Armbruster (Germany) came third. Annika Sieff took 5th place as the best Azzurra, Daniela Dejori had to be content with 16th place. ARTISTIC TRACK TOBOGGANING: The South Tyrolean lugers missed out on a top position at the World Cup in Winterberg. The victory of the German Julia Taubitz, who prevailed ahead of her teammate Anna Berreiter and the American Emily Sweeney Andrea Voetter as the best local athlete tenth. Followed immediately behind Sandra Robatscher . Verena Hofer took 15th place, Marion Oberhofer had to settle for 17th place.
