The online news portals of the media company Athesia stol.it and sportnews.bz jointly organized a betting game for users for the World Cup in Russia. A total of 2771 readers took part in the World Cup betting game. There were four points for each correct guess (winner and result), three points for the correct winner of the game and the partial result, and two points if only the winner of the game was guessed. At the end of the World Cup, the winners of the betting game were determined. Nadia Wörndle from Völs secured the main prize with a remarkable 128 points: a rafting tour from KreativRaft in Bruneck + a 200 euro voucher from Sport Corones in Valdaora. “I am totally surprised and of course very happy; Because I'm actually not that big of a football fan. “I simply gave my tips based on my gut feeling,” explained the lucky winner during the prize distribution.

Only four points behind, Thomas Verginer from St. Ulrich secured second place and a gas grill from the garden market, as well as 5l ForstBier Premium. Third place went to Thomas Zeschg from Schenna with 123 points, he received a swing from the garden market and 5l ForstBier Premium.

Patrick König, marketing manager at the Forst specialty beer brewery, congratulated the winners of the betting game: “Respect, the World Cup in Russia brought some surprising results. The participants in the competition guessed extremely well.” After a hearty snack, the prize distribution in the Forst brewery ended with the winners talking shop.
