Aaron March eliminated the Swiss Simon Schoch in the round of 16. In the quarter-finals, Sterzinger had the upper hand against Lukas Mathies from Vorarlberg. A similar picture in the small finale. First, March lost a little more than 0,2 seconds to Benjamin Karl (Austria) in the first run. In the second round, March was once again risky. After a few goals, he made a mistake that ultimately cost the 27-year-old from Wipptal the medal he longed for. Of course, March will be very disappointed at the missed opportunity. But in the end, fourth place is still a strong result in a season in which everything didn't always go according to plan for the South Tyrolean snowboarders in the World Cup.

Wild took gold ahead of Slovenia's Zan Kosir. The naturalized Russian Wild had already won the parallel giant slalom, while Kosir had won bronze in that competition. In the women's category, Julia Dujmovits from Austria won ahead of the two Germans Anke Karstens and Amelie Kober.
